Thriving in the workplace very much so involves relationship building, and if you are going to build successful relationships with coworkers, you must develop the ability to take the perspective of another.
It can be extremely difficult to breakout of our own two dimensional view and broaden our horizons. Although challenging at times, it is important to understand and accept that you can (and will) learn from others’ experiences. Recognizing this point is an integral part of becoming a team player.
So remember to have an open mind, look at things from a point of view other than our own, and welcome a fresh new perspective 👓. Collaboration is key 🔑. Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much 😊
